Research Topics

The multidisciplinary nature of orthomolecular chemistry within the human body and the medical establishment's growing interest in alternative/complementary therapies results in ISM being involved at many different levels of research that may be best categorized as follows:

(a) Cancer Management Therapy Research
(b) Impact of Amino Acids & Orthomolecular Therapy in Other Chronic Disease
(c) New Fields of Science & Medicine

(a) Cancer Management Therapy Research

The fundamental scientific objective of ISM's research has been to develop a new type of cancer management therapy based on a comparative analysis of natural biochemicals present in the bloodstream between healthy individuals and individuals diagnosed with cancer. To date, we have successfully used our diagnostic technology at a client-specific level to correlate changes that indicate the emergence or growth of human cancers. The objective of our continuing cancer research has been the ongoing amassing, manipulation and correlation of blood plasma data and using this information to:
(1) refine a series of effective, non-toxic orthomolecular therapeutics that are used on a client-specific level and,
(2) confirm the efficacy using recognized and controlled research methodology.

The following links provide a summary of the research conducted by ISM (pdf downloads). Note that ISM is constantly updating research information. Major research paper updates are anticipated for mid-late 2008.

(b) Impact of Amino Acids & Orthomolecular Therapy in Other Chronic Disease

We have observed, at a clinic level, that many cancer clients do not actually die from their cancer but rather from other non-related complications. We have further observed that many clients suffer from acute and chronic respiratory problems. Chlamydia Pneumoniae (“CP”) is a newly recognized third species of Chlamydia that we noticed in numerous clients. We have postulated about the possible connection of CP, immune system support, amino acid impact and symptom incidence in cancer clients.

(c) New Fields of Science & Medicine

An observational study of one Olympic athlete led us to be interested in the unique and multifaceted nature of Aminomics supplementation in athletes, and how the stresses they encounter individually affect overall protein and multi-nutrient needs. We have postulated that using Aminomics protocols on extreme performance athletes could be ergogenic (i.e., enhance the overall performance). As a result, we began a multi-stage exploratory research process:
