ISM products and services are intended to restore the natural defense mechanisms of the immune system, with the goal to extend life or, at minimum, significantly improve quality of life. The compounds target an individual's own self-healing metabolic and immune system capacity while avoiding the toxic side effects that often accompany conventional cancer medical treatment.

The ISM-Immune System Management® program first guides an individual towards an optimal balance of all the body's natural and critical metabolic and biochemical "tools"; such as enzymes, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fatty acids that are used directly by the body’s immune & metabolic systems (we refer to this as a client’s “blueprint” or ISM Profile). Then a disease-specific compound is administered. The ISM® line of Aminomics products has been developed from the analysis of consistent patterns amongst similar disease-related clients who have undergone client-specific therapeutic treatment.

The origins of the ISM® products started with individual clinical client nutraceutical supplements. Clinical work with thousands of clients over a 20-year period has led to certain common sets of observations concerning the diagnostic and therapeutic impact of our nutraceutical supplementation hypotheses.

The step-by-step product development process involved:

1) Client-specific statistical analysis where we observed significant biochemical blood stream discrepancies between healthy clients and clients diagnosed with cancer.
2) Development of an ongoing series of analytical, chromatography-based procedures to measure these compounds.
3) Definition of the optimal concentration ranges for each compound that should optimally be present in the bloodstream.
4) Development of algorithms that allow us to predict the composition of an individual client’s treatment compound.

The cumulative conclusion of these papers is that:
"Many cancer symptoms correlate with disturbances in the host's protein metabolism. Normalization of imbalanced plasma amino acid profiles by the administration of client-specific amino acid formulas can positively influence the clinical management of the cancer."
